  • Point out that we concentrate on early childhood concerns
  • Addition to early childhood but also developmental concerns
  • Special connections to developmental screening 
  • Warm hand off with Carina as a caring, connected human!
  • Geographic spread of service providers and children and families move around the area
  • When families move to a different community, HMG/ AAC is still there
  • Families don't always feel that they get customer service from some of the larger service agencies
  • Someone like Carina (or a Family Resource Navigator in general) can help families prepare for what to expect when they do call one of the larger agencies, can explain the process 
  • Always hear about how families fall through the cracks; will make a referral but if there is also some extra follow-up needed
