EMTs know the basic skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients to non-emergency facilities and to life threatening facilities such as an emergency hospital. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Although EMTs only need to be 18 years old to qualify for the job, they must complete a state-approved EMT course that meets, or exceeds, the National Emergency Medical Service Education Standards for the EMT. The EMT must have a current CPR-BLS for "Healthcare Provider." Then they must complete the National Registry cognitive and a state approved psychomotor skills exam. After they pass this course they are registered in the state as an EMT  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I would not want to be an EMT because I do not want to see the horrific scenes that EMTs experience everyday. I would enjoy learning the basic skills EMTs learn but I would not want to go to the scene of the crimes and see all the horrific and graphic content. I would rather be an emergency physician because that way I can still take care of patients but not see how it happened or what occurred at the scene.</div>]]></description>
