Understanding how students use media is a moving target because as new technology is developed, it will have varying popularity and uses. This will change how, when, and why technology can and should be incorporated in the classroom. as a high school history teacher, it will be my responsibility to understand and teach my students how to analyze all kinds of media, whether it be a text, image, movie, or even a hologram in the future.

As information becomes increasingly easy to access, my history students will need less fact-based lecture time and more instruction on how to find, evaluate, and reflect upon information they gather from sources like the library or internet. The focus will shift from the transmission of facts to critical thinking skills and the more sociological and philosophical aspects of historical events.
