Steve Humber is the Chief Digital Information Officer at Coventry University and Managing Director of Coventry University Online Ltd. His role is to ensure that the use of Information Technology and digital technology can create, support and underpin new global business models and products that the University will use to disrupt the HE sector and improve the student experience and outcomes. He is driving agenda for a digital future at Coventry for the benefit of the student experience and student attainment. As MD for the online educational delivery his role is to develop the online portfolio and associated operating model in support of the online education provision for students.
 
Previously Steve had 17 years experience at the engineering giant, Rolls-Royce plc in which he held various senior IT leadership roles including IT Director - Nuclear Sector; Group IT Strategist, Head of Information Systems - Civil Aerospace; as well as Chief Information Officer at a Rolls-Royce strategic aftermarket services company.
 
Steve is also an Olympic & World Short Track Speed Skater and still competes in the Masters category. In April 2023 he became the World Champion for his Masters age category at the World Masters Short Track Speed Skating competition representing Great Britain at the games in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
