Planning sessions in our teams would be helpful. Then we could share resources and help each other.

In the past we have had a Māori language tutor who would go around classes. This is a good way for the teacher to learn alongside the children if they don't know much themselves.

Using local stories to design Play, Make, Create cards. Eg Wairarapa Korero, Eels of ANZAC bridge, or we write our on stories for the age of students we teach.

I find it useful to break down some words. i.e mawhero as in ma=white and whero=red, so white and red make pink. I think this helps words meaning stay in my head as well as the kids heads.
