         <title>Shay&#39;s Rebellion: 1786-1787</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Shay's rebellion began in Massachusetts where multiple brutal attacks occurred. Most of the people involved in the fight were ex-revolutionary war soldiers who retired into farmers. The state economic policy caused poverty that the farmers disagreed with. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The first congress meeting consisted of 56 men from 12 of the 13 different colonies that became the United States. A year after that there was another convention that led to them determining who the general of the Continental Army would be since they would be going to war. The colonies were rebelling against Great Britain in order to gain their independence. </p>]]></description>
