When pop rocks touch a substance with a high water content they pop. This is because of the carbon dioxide inside of the sugary crystals. In this experiment baking soda and water were mixed together to make a dough like substance, and in another bowl a pastey mixture. When pop rocks were added to the paste the reaction was little to existant its self. On the other hand when pop rocks were added to the mixture with a higher water content they popped.

In this experiment, 20-Volume hydrogen peroxide, dry fast acting yeast, warm water, dish soap and food coloring all react together all react to make a chemical reaction. When the yeast and the hydrogen peroxide is mixed together, a exothermic reaction is created. Carbon dioxide is being relased with the bubbles. Energy is being realeased in this case. The yeast is helping to remove the hydrogen proxide which creates lots of bubbles. In the bubbles the food coloring, water, and dishsoap is found.

Red cabbage is known for its color changing properties. When water and red cabbage is blended or boiled together a chemical change has happened. This is because the color from the cabbage comes off in the water, indecating a chemical change with the new color and substance of the cabbage water. More steps can be taken to further the chemical reaction, like adding vinegar or baking soda to the mixture.

Tap water, sugar, sodium hydroxide, and a solution of methylene blue can be used to see a chemical reaction in something so simple as tap water. After all of the above ingredients are mixted together the water should turn blue. After some time the water will go back to being blue. This is because the sugar is becoming oxydized. The sugar being the reactant and eventually fading will lead to the liquid being clear yet again.

When the anti acid tablet is added to the water a fizzing is found in the water indecating a chemical reaction. Ontop of that the temperatre of the water drops, indicating a chemical change as well. This is a endothermic reaction.

Using 2 tsp. borax, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup white glue, 1/4 cup water, and 1 1/3 cups polystyrene beads, can form a new substance, in this case it is floam. Mixing these substances together would make a product of foam. This is because of the most active ingredient, borax solution. This makes slime and it is floam after the beads are added. Before the beads are added it is still a chemical reaction it just makes it more fun adding in the beads.
