Summary: Upon his recent visit to the Asian countries, Mr Donald Trump, President of the United State, expressed openly his view point on regional trade, arguing that global trade and multilateral relations were detrimental for the wellbeing of the U.S. Whereas Mr Xi Jinping, President of China stands on the different side, proposing that the collaboration between world nations is an irreversible and unstoppable trend and therefore a way in which nations trade freely should be set.

Response: It wasn't Trump's first time to blame the WTO. Ever since his election as the president the situation of world trade seemed to be reversed. The U.S which stood for the world's liberty and democracy had argued for stopping free trade and multinational corporations. China on the other hand, which was one of the few communist states that left and being the largest communist nation in the world, had ironically stood on the side of free trade, as President Xi stated that "we should support the multilateral trading regime and practice open regionalism..."

DQs:
1)Who do you think would benefit from the free trade practice, the West? China? or the developing nations in the Third World?
2)Is China nowadays still considered a pure communist nation? To what extent had capitalism value entered the Chinese land?
3)Base on your knowledge of the history, do you think that globalization is "an irreversible historical trend" or not?
