It weakens the immune system, making it easier for people to get sick.

Emotional Health: Stress can lead to a range of emotional health problems, including anxiety, depression, anger, irritability, and mood swings. It can also affect self-esteem and contribute to feelings of helplessness and hopelessness.

Mental Health: Prolonged stress can negatively impact mental health, leading to difficulty concentrating, memory problems, and impaired decision-making abilities. It may also exacerbate existing mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.

Social Health: Stress can strain relationships with family, friends, and colleagues.

A personal stressful situation I have had is with school. Specifically my classes. But more specifically this Health 2 class. Somehow between my 2 AP classes, Aerospace, and Honors classes, this class has managed to be the most difficult. It constantly feels like we aren't heard in this class and the due dates and deadlines are very hard to complete especially with the workload we are given in a short period of time. But the specific situation is when I was trying to get my grades revised as I had missed some days of class due to various reasons. Before I was even out those days, I had an A in the class then my grades significantly dropped. I went to resolve the issue, however I wasn't even able to get all of the assignments revised even though we have 10 days after an assignment is due to turn it in according to PGCPS policy. This was a really stressful point for me because this class is supposed to be easy but suddenly somehow it isn't.

1.) First and foremost, felt kind of ignored. It kinda felt like I was being told that my situation didn't matter. It felt like I was being pushed aside constantly.

2.) It felt as though there was nothing I could do about the situation and nobody I could go to without things escalating. Truth be told I was actually pretty stressed about the class and grade constantly.

3.) I felt as though things were unfair as well. Especially with PGCPS policy in consideration and the fact that I had reasons as to why the work was late.

4.) I guess I felt in despair as well. Health is supposed to be an easy class and I had no problems whatsoever with it in 9th grade and now I do. I wasn't sure if junior year was just really hitting or if I was doing something wrong.

5.) I guess I felt angry as well. Everything felt so out of control and I didn't want to bring my parents in and have things escalate just to be embarrassed by the outcome.
