One activity I would like to take back is the “Listening Pairs” game. In this, children sit in pairs, and one child shares a short story or something about their day while the other listens quietly. After that, the listener repeats back what they heard.

This activity helps children practice focus, patience, and remembering details, while also showing respect to the speaker. It builds communication skills and encourages empathy, because children realize how good it feels to be heard. In my classroom, I see it working well during circle time, where children naturally love sharing about themselves.
