         <description><![CDATA[<p>Gather these materials:</p><p>- Level 2 Answer Sheet (download and print to the right)</p><p>- Pencil &amp; Eraser</p><p><br/></p><p>- Device 1 for watching the video</p><p><br/></p><p>- Device 2 for recording your answers</p><p><br/></p><p>1. PLAY the video on Device 1.</p><p><br/></p><p>2. Press RECORD on Device 2.</p><p><br/></p><p>3. Watch the video. LISTEN to the melody on ‘Lu.’</p><p><br/></p><p>4. SING the Melody on ‘Lu.’</p><p><br/></p><p>5. Sing the melody with SOLFEGE (for example: Do, Mi, La).</p><p><br/></p><p>6. WRITE the PITCHES on your paper (don’t worry about the rhythm yet).</p><p><br/></p><p>7. LISTEN to the Melody on ‘Lu’ as Chelsea taps the steady beat.</p><p><br/></p><p>8. SING the melody using rhythm syllables (for example: ta, ta-di, ta, ta) while TAPPING the steady beat.</p><p><br/></p><p>9. WRITE the RHYTHM to finish your answer (add stems to the notes).</p><p><br/></p><p>10. Hold your paper up to the camera on Device 2. Make sure your answer is easy to read!</p><p><br/></p><p>No printer?</p><p>Use a ruler and marker to copy the answer sheet on a sheet of paper. Be sure to copy the starting note and clef.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Gather these materials:</p><p>- Sight-reading Sheet for the appropriate instrument (download and print to the right)</p><p>- Your Instrument</p><p><br/></p><p>1. Take a few minutes to look over each melody on the sight-reading sheet.</p><p>2. Note the starting pitch. VOICE students should listen to the starting pitches in the video.</p><p>3. CLAP the rhythm, then SING the solfege.</p><p>4. Press record in FlipGrid and PLAY each melody on your instrument.</p><p><br/></p><p>No printer?</p><p>Open the sight-reading sheet on a tablet or smart device and position it so that you can read the sheet easily while you play.</p>]]></description>
