I would lie a lot as a kid and would always end up getting in trouble. She always tells me to tell the truth, otherwise, people won't want to trust me. Over the years, I've learned to always tell the truth to get myself out of trouble. Every time I lie and get caught, I always end up regretting it and feeling guilty. I've used this lesson over the years and it's helped me a lot. A lot of people lie to get their way out of trouble but when people find out the truth you'll only get in more trouble. You may or may not have consequences for telling the truth about something you did. At the end of the day, it's better to get it off your chest and confess. I've done it multiple times and lied about it every time my mom asked a question about it. Therefore, I wasn't able to have my phone because I got in trouble. On the weekend, I went to my aunt's house and stayed the night. I got bored and asked to use her laptop, she said yes. I told everyone to not tell my mom about me being on her laptop. When I got home the next day, my sister (who was there with me) told my mom about me being on the laptop. After I told her not to tell. When she asked me about it, I told her I wasn't on the laptop, even though I really was. She already knew I was lying. Not only that, but my sister was backing her up on everything, and she's only 6. The privilege to have my phone got taken away longer. I was close to getting it back, but then I got myself in bigger trouble.  If I were, to tell the truth, I wouldn't have gotten in trouble.
