One day, my husband wasn't at home and had taken the car, so I called my brother, and he came on his motorcycle. On a main avenue, a guy with a stop sign went straight ahead, and my brother avoided him, but the motorcycle's shock absorber destabilized, and we fell on our side. I got up and checked that he was okay, but my head got dizzy, and I passed out. When I woke up in the hospital, they told me that I had arrived by ambulance. Luckily, it was just a drop in sugar levels and a few scrapes on my skin, and my brother was okay too. We traveled by car from Puerto Lopez and passed through Villavicencio, stopped in Guaduas, and stopped in each town along the way. The trip lasted two weeks, and we also went to Medellin and Hacienda Napoles. On July 1st, my mother-in-law was feeling very unwell and couldn't move. When we rushed her to the hospital, she was taken to Villavicencio, and we stayed in a hotel there. We thought that her suffering was due to her bone problems, but on July 4th, my brother-in-law called to tell us that she had passed away. On that same day, we were informed that she had liver cancer.
