They used sit-ins and practiced civil disobedience. The places they sat in include restaurants, theaters, and factories in the north. With that, they did freedom rides to challenge segregation. CORE was founded by George Hauser and James Farmer, founded in 1942 at the University of Chicago. The outcome of their efforts was the civil rights act of 1964. CORE was significant because they did this peacefully.

The main points that where brought up were that Oliver Brown sued the board of education of Topeka, due to the fact that the schools aren`t equal compared to  white schools. This had went up all the way to the supreme court. This turned Plessy Vs. Ferguson over. The key players where Thurgood Marshall, Board of Education versus Oliver and Linda Brown. The outcome of the case ended segregation in schools though there will still be rude people. The case challenged the idea, Separate but equal.

This act started the Montgomery Bus Boycott in December 1st 1955 in Montgomery Alabama. For this action, she was wrongfully in prisoned, And the case went all the way up to the supreme court. In Browder V Gayle, Rosa Parks being with Broder. This was brought to the supreme court that ruled unconstitutional to segregate public busses. Which eleminated barriers early on/in transportation access.

Seeing that baseball was segregated for more than 50 years prior this was game-changing. Though he was one of the best players ever he was treated very poorly by others and his own team's fans. at the end of the first season, they won the World Series. People started seeing him for his work, not his skin tone, after breaking the skin barrier in baseball.

They just sat there to get there way. They showed how important this was to them waiting and being tortured by having coffee poured on them. these young African Americans doing this inspired the Freedom riders tk take up the cause of integrating the south.

Not only where they desegregating schools of the south but testing the Brown V Board. the little rock nine include Minnijean Brown, Elizabeth Eckford, Ernest Green, Thelma Mothershed, Melba Patillo, Gloria Ray, Terrence Roberts, Jefferson Thomas and Carlotta Walls, as the key players. Though they where torutred but some graduated. Being the first black kids to intergrate the white schools they paved.

This was done to create a form of protection to Black people who face awful things such as police brutality, like a form of self defense to those who have none. This type of vigilantly done to show their ideology of Black Nationalism. but in 1968 when they had max members of 2,000 they disbanded due to the mass shootings.

Dr Martin presented his "I had a dream" speach for this march to get the general rights they aren't being treated to though they should. This was succesful giving them there rights later that year but still had racism placed on them.

These marches led 525-600 people from selma to mountgomory, To ensure African americans exercise their right to vote.
