Francesca - Empowering Writers was the best PD because the presenter was interactive, teachers were engaged in activities and took many materials back with them.

Chloe - Mission statement writing in which the district took teacher examples into consideration. Teachers felt included through this professional development activity.

Caroline - SEL professional development that explains the "why" of student behavior instead of just offering tips and tricks.

Savannah - Lumio, which is a software like Blooket/Kahoot, Google Slides/Nearpod. Teachers were engaged in games.

Katie- Off site PD sponsored by the Bushnell specifically for my school where all teachers from the school learned how we can bring in the arts to all learning. The Bushnell put together mini workshops to show us the partnership between the arts and learning.

Matt- Youth gang violence prevention training. Learning about warning signs, backgrounds, and what to know about the kids in our schools. How gangs influence how students engage in learning. Connects to teaching practices and the social emotional part of teaching.

Ed- AI training (not geared as much to math but still cool!) where the AI would pretend to be the author and how to create a project where students could interact with an author or historical figure on more "personal" level. It was cool to see the features of AI and how we can use it in our teaching.
