         <description><![CDATA[<div>The United States National Academy of Sciences defines <strong>scientific theories</strong> as follows: The formal <strong>scientific definition</strong> of <strong>theory</strong> is quite different from the everyday <strong>meaning</strong> of the word. It refers to a comprehensive explanation of some aspect of nature that is supported by a vast body of evidence.<br><br>e.g &nbsp;<strong>Darwinism</strong> is a <strong>theory</strong> of biological evolution developed by the English naturalist Charles <strong>Darwin</strong> (1809-1882) and others, stating that all species of organisms arise and develop through the natural selection of small, inherited variations that increase the individual's ability to compete, survive, and reproduce.</div>]]></description>
