Some people believe that it's bad to throw rice at weddings because when you leave it on the ground, some birds will eat it and their stomach will kind of explode and kill them. This myth arose when Ann Landers posted it in a column, but based on scientific and logical explanations, it's completely false, a bird's stomach isn't hot enough for even cook the rice, so any kind of reaction will happen. Actually, birds use to eat a lot of rice during their migrations. So based on this information, the myth is completely non reliable, it hasn't any scientific basing and doesn't even make sense when actually thinking about it.
