         <title>The polar-orbiting satellite can do it while the geostationary satellite can&#39;t do it.  The POS can rotate around the earth to form a complete image, but the images from GS should be stiched together to form a complete image of the whole earth.</title>

And it will pass 14 orbits and collected 740 scence in common. Besides the earth still rotates from west to east, so it will capture the whole images in some time.</div>]]></description>

Thus the earth rotates one week a day and it sweeps every part of the earth from north to south and from south to north twice, once during the day and once at night.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Let&#39;s take Landsat 8 satellite of The Lansat series as an example.In the first orbit, the Landsat Adis traveling on the descending node from north to South at daytime, crossing the equator in the Indian Ocean at approximately 10:11 in the morning, when the satellite comes around the Earth, and its second orbit about 99 minutes later, while the earth is spinning eastward, it crosses the equator in Congo at about 10.11 local time.As the traveling continues, the Landsat 8 is able to make 14 orbits per day.Afer 16 days, Landsat 8 satellite  can do it. </title>
