In the modern media, it is still referenced through out the world, most notably being the origin to the "You are already dead" meme. The writing and art go hand in hand, but Hara's work only gets more and more astoundingly beautiful as time goes on. Personally he serves as one of my key inspirations.

While the stories he makes aren't told through any direct or explicit means, they are still vast and impressive, something to regard in awe. His stories weaved so intricately that it left people stumped over an alleged secret in SotC for over a decade on PS2 forums, a group of people called the Secret Seekers. The forum has enough content to be bound into a book. His work of architect is also a marvel, creating whole castles and then some, massive open areas, construction sites, places of worship, everything constructed with care and beauty even if to only make decrepit later.
