Sam Eastes: I will use cooperative learning in my classroom through project-based learning. I think that would be a great way to have student learn the information, while still being engaged. I will also use the Think-Pair-Share method, since I believe it is an easy way to incorporate cooperative learning, as well as checking to see what the students know. I also would use the Numbered Heads Together activity, since it is a great way to have students take ownership of their learning and work together to learn all the information.

This not only gets everyone involved, but it also gives everyone some time to think on their own. I would also use Project-based Learning, i feel like when students are researching a topic and are held reliable to report their findings to the rest of the class, they will learn it better. Another method of cooperative learning that I will use will be the Jigsaw Method.

This gets them moving around the room and out of their normal grouping.

2. Cooperative learning table groups – I will arrange my room so that students are in cooperative groups and change the groups throughout the year as needed. I will utilize these groups in daily activities and lessons.

3. Individual jobs – for each group activity everyone will be accountable for their “job”.
