I first started teaching elementary school for the first few years in Toledo, Ohio, and in Monroe, Michigan, but moved to Houston, Texas, because there were school closings, (yes, students suffered because people refused to pay taxes and schools were affected).

I immediately was hired  and worked in Aldine ISD for ten years at Plummer Middle School and received several awards, including ESL Teacher of the Year, the District's Teacher that INSPIRES, and that was only the beginning.]]> 2018-08-04 21:06:58 UTC https://padlet.com/swither/ltra5mivcc8p/wish/271960291 swither https://padlet.com/swither/ltra5mivcc8p/wish/271960834 Being a teacher is more than just standing in front of a classroom and giving information about a certain subject, but I "calling" and I say that because I am a licensed Minister in the church.  I don't take anything that I do lightly, especially when it comes to children.  I have been the Director of Children's Ministry at my current local church along with becoming a Life Coach, so whatever happens in this classroom will be to help students reach their full potential. I had a blast, and I enjoyed my time so much that I wanted to work there, so I did for many years. I became the youngest administrator to be in charge of a $3.8 million dollar grant program that helped to give college scholarships to minority children. This book has been out for a little less than a year, and many opportunities have emerged from my hard work.
