Have a laminated "peace talk" sign hanging up on your white board. When kids are having issues with one another encourage them to go get the peace talk sign, sit in front of it (across from each other with the sign in the middle of them), and talk about their problems. MODEL what that conversation should look like. "look at my face does it look happy or sad" "it made me feel _____ when _____". It takes a few times modeling what this looks like, but it eliminates the children tattling on one another to you.
