A monologue usually has one person on a stage, or just in front of an audience, and you can see they really use PPPIT in their performance or act. The actor blends in with the script, so they actually show that this is what is happening... Many, like the last one we watched, are always or sometimes dramatic. It’s almost like in their perspective. I would say it’s more a performance, as when you do a speech, you’re speaking normally, but in a performance, he/she or usually, they tend to be in character. You are acting — you are performing a role, in a monologue. Where as, if you’re giving a speech, you are talking as yourself, not in character.
