Cabesa de Vaca was a highly achived explorer and treasure collector. He always loved finding lost Spanish treasures. Cabesa began exploring in June of 1527 and continued to explore untill 1537. In April 1527 Narváez left Spain to find new land because it was plague infected. 3 months later in June Vaca followed because all of the explorers party had died. Núñez discovered 3 main places, Tampa, Florida; Galveston, Texas; and Mexico. While in Galveston Cabesa and his party lived with the Karankawa Indians where he became known as a healer. He originally set out to Mexico to meet up with the Spaniards. On May 27, 1559 his journey came to an end because he died of natural causes. 
Interesting Facts
1. When he and his party reached Galveston, Texas they lived with the natives for 4 years. 
2. He served a brief term as governor in Mexico and with this expierebce he decided to make a change in Spain and became a judge until he died.
