The first chapter actually has a argument scene in between the chef and the lieutenant over food rations hence the GIF above of the lieutenant screaming at the soldier, it depicts the idea of the scene quite well. The second chapter also finds relevance with the GIF above as the main character Paul mentions that their drill sergeant took away all the romance the army ever held for them by his constant vocal assaults'.
