It can also stop the development of some cancers; it also allows to maintain healthy weight or lose weight if already in need to lose some. In some cases, having to gain weight through a healthy and balanced diet is a necessity, this would be the case for someone anorexic. When sick it is a way to help you recover faster from any illness prone to people.&nbsp;<br><br>Some examples of benefits of a healthy diet.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>- Live longer&nbsp;</div><div>- Keeps skin and teeth healthy.</div><div>- Supports muscular structure.&nbsp;</div><div>- Boosts immunity.</div><div>- Helps digestive system.&nbsp;</div><div>- Helps through pregnancy. &nbsp;<br><br>A healthy diet when wanting to be or already part of the public services is very important as most tasks when operating are very physically demanding, meaning having the correct food and the correct amount allows for efficient and substantial working.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>It helps with having a productive day as being part of the service requires a lot of energy and having good diet provides energy to all part of the body to help with work.          <title>Effects of smoking, drugs and alcohol on the body </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Drinking alcohol has many effects on a person’s body, the effects vary based on the amount a person consumes, if it is when they are on a night out, they will have basic effects of being drunk and not at any risk of any harmful problems other than hallucinating and have emotional distraught. When the person is a possible alcoholic, they will have a vast range of consequences with their body mentally and physically. Heavy drinking takes a toll on the body such as effecting the liver and brain, as it weakens and slows the body from even performing for basic tasks and in some cases, people can be reliant on drinking, just to get through the day. Another bad could be it gets to the point where doctor prescribe alcohol. There are ma y charities that give out their support to help with rehabilitation, a charity is Drinkaware. They aim to reduce alcohol related issues by helping them make better choices, 98% of people who recommend and use Drinkaware say it all the information is relevant.&nbsp;<br>recommended amount for drinking is 25 units, this is also for you to still be able to drive.&nbsp;<br><br>Examples of disadvantages of drinking.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>- high blood pressure.&nbsp;</div><div>- Heart disease.&nbsp;</div><div>- Strokes.</div><div>- Liver disease.</div><div>- Possible cancers.</div><div>- Memory problems.&nbsp;<br><br>People who use drugs regularly for extended/long periods of time can develop dependance and tolerance to it. This means they need to take bigger amounts of the drug to get the same effect. People who use drugs tend to realize using the drugs becomes more important than other activities in their lives. Some effects of the drugs can be beneficial to some however when it gets too extreme it starts to have negative effects. Beneficial factors could be, feeling relaxed, cope with stress, feel good, more confident. These can be useful for the person. However, they can be harmful and cause people to fall down a destructive path, from being hostile, to extremely depressed. They can either improve cognitive function or degrade cognitive function turning them into a vegetative state. People’s health when using drugs can be heavily affected through down bad physical fitness levels and have very low standards of fitness and then will to do nothing to try and make it better.&nbsp;<br><br>Examples of effects of drugs.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>- Constipation.&nbsp;</div><div>- Skin rashes.</div><div>- Dizziness.</div><div>- Dry mouth.</div><div>- Headache.</div><div>- Insomnia.&nbsp;<br><br>Effects of smoking on the body.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>smoking has a large range effect on a person’s body from beneficial as it can be a coping mechanism to them having long term irreversible effects and diseases. It highly effects a person’s fitness levels as it directly impacts there cardio and aerobic functions such as lungs and heart. In prevents longevity in the organs. It can help people as they have built a habit over it, and it could make them feel better in the moment and even the rest of the day.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Hygiene in the uniformed services.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Hygiene in the uniformed services is important as it is a formal and professional profession and need to be at the highest level of cleanliness from the body, clothes, and correct equipment. Having to have a clean body for the public services is essential to keep clean for personal good health. As poor hygiene can have a range of issues from not being presentable to physical issues on the body such as, skin irritation, unpleasant smells, meaning when part of the public services being these shows you don’t look after yourself and don’t take responsibility, showing you can’t be taken seriously. Other issues can be having poor oral health bad teeth which looks to unpleasant and cause problems to other people.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>When being in a uniformed service having the correct but also clean clothing which is the uniformed provided. Wearing that uniform shows you have a responsibility to provide and support, it is about being punctual and professional. When if people were to have poor hygiene for clothes/uniform it will stink, look creased and show you don’t take care and look after your punctuality through clothing, to other people you are meant to be a role model showing professionalism, however when showing up with a uniform that is not well looked after it gives a lack of trust and confidence to the people about the public services.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>When being part of a public service there are need for the correct and clean equipment, PPE (personal protective equipment) this is for the safety for the public service personnel but also the public, such as fire fighter wearing fire resistant jackets. This is because meeting the complex needs of the person with a form of a disability such as poor eyesight, being asthmatic, or having disabilities. This can put the individual and their family under a great deal of stress, through it been emotional, financial and even sometimes physical. However, there can be good to help those affected with disabilities, such as finding resources, knowing what to expect, and planning for the future could greatly increase the quality of life for all those effected.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Having minor disabilities when working with public services can have effects of being a disadvantage as they have high standards, some disabilities that may possibly restrict you joining a public service could be being asthmatic, having poor eyesight, having poor hearing ability, having a form a diabetes. Many disabilities have the possibility of preventing you from joining, however when already in the service they will not stop you or they would also not dismiss you.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Causes of stress and how to manage them.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Causes of stress in the public services are very common and frequent as they are seen to be some of the most chaotic and stress-inducing jobs out there. They could with high risks with high chances of failure. Having worked so hard for it to possibly not go as planned can put big toles on the public service personnel, then for them to go home and even have more stress for personal reasons can impact them and having an impact on their working life, preventing them from doing their jobs productively.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>When working in a public service the requirements of the jobs they need to perform are very high risk for you as the public service but also those you are trying to help and support and, in some cases, save them. If there is an emergency the public service are the people to arrive and control and stop any further issues. This itself can cause stress but if they are already stressed it can impair their abilities and influence their performance to help with the emergency and possibly cause more issues including the emergency itself, this could leave to more destruction more lives lost and more measures needing to be taken using more resources.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>There are measures put in place to help the public service personnel control and maintain stress levels to prevent impairment of their ability to do their jobs. Examples of these are talking to others expressing the issues and confronting them, avoiding drugs and alcohol as they could be a catalyst to, they stress, taking care of yourself, mentally and physically, through exercise, and taking longer breaks from everyday tasks from home or your jobs. There are places to go for expert help and support such as therapies.&nbsp;<br><br>Stress management in the uniformed services.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Stress management in the public services is vital as well it is a very stress full career as there is a huge workload from all places, From paperwork to actual physical work.&nbsp; If you do not manage your stress in the public services, it can exhaust and cause a lack of focus and inability to process new information, this is a big problem as it can be a factor to a bad result in an emergency as you are not fully aware and productive because of stress either from work or personnel home life.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Lack of managing your stress in public services in a problem because it is such an important role in society that if their work to be infringed because of stress it can show you are not capable and reliable and since people depend on the public services if you are not able to support the public because of stress you a liability and vulnerable.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>The lack of stress management in the public services has the biggest impact on lack of motivation and pride in their objectives and missions and impact on the quality of the services they provide to the people and communities.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Ways to cope with stress vary from topic to topic, examples of these are, going to the gym staying fit looking after the body and helps mentally, faith/religion, talking to someone, friend, family members, another could be just doing something you enjoy such as a hobby, participating in things as a family or just in general something you find thrilling. Being ready for the future through many ways of keeping the body safe and fit gets you ready, as there will be days where things will become difficult but being prepared through managing stress for work to be done at a high level, performing exercise for better focus and creativity. You will be at a higher level of hygiene and cleanliness. All of this is very good for people’s future developments as they are prepared and stronger for any upcoming circumstances. If people weren’t up to date with a fitter more organized life it will become difficult and may affect their careers/working life, it will have an impact on their personnel and overall wont be a efficient or productive lifestyle, it wont be at the level that they are capable of.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
