    In the early 1900s, a group of young and rebellious Italian writers and artists emerged determined to celebrate industrialization. They were frustrated by Italy’s declining status and believed that the “Machine Age” would result in an entirely new world order and even a renewed consciousness.

    Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, the ringleader of this group, called the movement Futurism. Its members sought to capture the idea of modernity, the sensations and aesthetics of speed, movement, and industrial development.

You want to generate more traffic, business is getting sloppy.
    To do so, you have this idea to make a beautiful decoration on the shop window. And everything you discovered in the previous steps, you're going to use.
    These are the steps to take:
    • Which kind of shop do you own? In other words, what's the atmosphere you want to express?
    • Look at the previous collage you've made. Can you use what you discovered? Remember, the painting/drawing must show which kind of shop you own. But it also has to have a link with a city (you're a real citizen of the world!).
    • Futurism: What are the characteristics of this style? Some clues: repetition, movement, speed, machines, etc. etc.
    • Take a paper of 50 x 65 cm
    • Make the decoration of your window. Which kind of materials you use, that's up to you! But make sure, you use some of the characteristics of the futuristic style!
