Overgrowth of this pathogen can cause candidiasis which is a disease. This disease leads to vaginal yeast infections, urinary tract infection, nail infections, oral thrush, etc.

This disease is usually acquired by direct or indirect contact with people who already have it. It can be treated with antifungal or oral medications.

Prevention of this pathogen could be to have good hygiene, balance your diet and if your diabetic keep your blood sugar balanced also.
