Icons Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Doja Cat, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, KATSEYE, and more dazzled the red carpet with spectacles of high fashion, signature styles, and bold statements — making memorable entrances.

The ceremony kicked off with a high-energy performance by Sabrina Carpenter, who delivered a medley of her hits, including her Video of the Year nominated single “Manchild” and her new single, ”Tears.”

Girl Group KATSEYE debuted their pop hits ”Gnarly” and ”Gabriela” on the big stage, empowering womanhood, glam, and utmost fashion in their performances.

Lady Gaga led the nominations with an impressive 12 nods — fueled by her hit collaboration with Bruno Mars on “Die With a Smile” — and performed ”Abracadabra” along with her new song, ”The Dead Dance”.

Coming on second was Kendrick Lamar who followed closely with 10 nominations, primarily for his Grammy-winning Drake diss track, “Not Like Us.”

This year’s VMAs also celebrated fresh talent, with first-time nominations for artists like Rosé, Warren, Lola Young, The Marias, Gigi Perez, and Damiano David.

Moreover, the 2025 VMAs also marked the debut of two new categories: Best Country and Best Pop Artist.
