Due to the fact that Jewish citizens were not wanted in Germany, they were being forced out by either verbal or physical abuse. The Kristallnacht was an anti-Jewish violent movement that destroyed thousands of synagogues, homes, jewish-owned businesses, etc. in November of 1938. Throughout the time of the Nazi reign, from about 1933-1945, 500,000 Jews fled Germany to gain freedom and escape concentration camps. The survivors were about 34,000 of the people who had decided to stay in Germany and face any consequences or harm that would come their way.

The Kindertransport was a way to transport nearly 10,000 jewish children into the United kingdom. No child was accompanied by their parents, and babies were mostly carried by older siblings. The first Kindertransport had arrived to England in the year of 1938 and had carried upon about 196 jewish children rescued from a burning orphanage during the middle of a cold winter night. Two years later, the very last Kindertransport had left in the year of 1940 in the city of Ymuiden, which was the day Holland has been forced to surrender and overtaken by gunmen from Germany.
