People get affected by others like friends, culture, friend groups, and peers might do things like trends from these people. Not always does that person want to do what other people are doing around them. This changed me because it made me think about how many people are just following around groups to fit in but it is not actually them who want to do something. Bringing in pieces of evidence from Cell One and The Marrow Thieves made their conversation's smooth.
natalie bellis

Question: "To what extent does society impact an individual's choices?"

Takeaways: Many individuals are influenced by how the majority of people act, think or talk. It is important to display unique opinions and views, because they can spark more ethical choices or decisions. Society can become dangerous if many people believe in something that is unethical or wrong. People are also indoctrinated at birth to believe certain things are right and wrong, and can be influenced throughout their life by outside sources, such as the aforementioned society.

-Frederick W

I also liked their answers to the questions I think it gives them their own opinion of the questions. They talked about how society affects peoples choices and it aligns with my perspective on how it is what you believe in and what you want to believe in. for example society says that it's unusual for a woman to drive an f1 car or something like that. They gave their evidence with their quotes in the book and the quotes in the short stories.

In Marrow Thieves Lincoln and Travis despite being native follow the societal trend of hunting native people. People are also responsible for their own actions. Society influenced Namibia in Cell One to be in a gang, but he also made the decision to steal himself.

It is a matter of perspective by how most people go with the majority of a group to fit in. People get justice by their actions and if people are willing to stand up for you. Powerful people get their thoughts out their to the world and this causes people to hear these thoughts and ideas. Humans know what is ethical and what is unethical causing humans to have know what people are doing that is unjust. There is never justice that everyone agrees on and no group of people will all feel the exact same way on something. This changed my perspective to think that justice is not perfect and that many people will never think or agree with you on something.
natalie bellis

Justice is decided by vocal, these voices are heard by lower people and are usually spoken by bigger influences who the lower people usually look up to. This also means that the minority does not get to speak their choice, which leads to many being dissapointed by the outcome of the justice.
-I like the connections they made the Cell One, they also had many connections to the books
This changed my perspective because I always thought about each individual having their own perspective of justice and what they think is right, I never though about the possible that people get their perspectives from higher people.
-I really liked how one of the guys had many connections to the real world, the group also gave many examples of how justice can be different to others.
They connected the example of how one person can change the perspective for many people, which was the George Floyd incident, I thought this was a really good connection because I think everybody can relate to it. Wether it is people thinking the cops are all violent people who abuse power, or cops are being misinterpreted by society and one accident changed the whole view that society had on others.
Perspective can be judges on opinions, which is a form of perspective. So justice can be judges based on who, and what people believe in.

The true form of justice is very different depending on who you are. You may believe justice to be bad or it to be good. You may have a way of looking at a group of people using your perspective because of your own personal opinion. I know now people take justice into their own belief. In the end, there is no such thing as one form of justice.

There is no beauty without struggle, no prosperity without conflict, no bliss without ignorance. After a negative event, it can be hard to come back to your former happiness. It is all about perspective, however, as people who are more optimistic tend to at least ATTEMPT to find beauty through tragedy.

Marrow Thieves: Frenchie realizes that he loves Rose and follows her through the woods. He was able to develop a strong connection with her, and wanted to be with her. Even though the time they are in where they will die if they get caught, he was still able to put in effort to a relationship.

Takeaway: It is important to find beauty in struggle because it can help you fight to get out of it. Also once you are out of that struggle it is a huge accomplishment that can fulfill affect your life after it.
