I liked wikispaces as a tool to facilitate student cooperation on group projects, create independence by encouraging students to ask each other for help, and the teacher can help students with questions outside of the classroom. It also allows students to be monitored by the teacher and record contributions.

This was a social media site that another group in the class discussed, and, in addition to that, this website provides interesting ways that Twitter can be used. I would definitely use Twitter to tell my students what they will need for the day and to provide reminders of homework assignments before they are due.

Tips on using Youtube in the classroom

This is a handy article that can be a guide to using Youtube in the classroom. I like using Youtube videos in the classroom, because it helps visual and auditory learners, and it can go through step-by-step tutorials on math problems and other subjects.

As an example, this would be a great video for students to see what fire is for grades 3-5. It delves into science and thermal energy while focusing on the science and having few distractions inside the video. I personally like minutephysics when it comes to supplementing science education.

It is also nice to have online resources such as Khan Academy be able to help students of all ages with math and science. I have personally used this tool in lesson plans and when I was a student struggling through high school Physics. This tool is great because students can access this tool at home if they have an internet connection.

When one of the other groups presented about Ezvid and making videos for students as an instructor, I was very interested in it. This seems like a very versatile tool for providing classroom instruction when a substitute teacher is in the classroom, given there is enough time to plan a video for the students. I would definitely use it once I learn how to use it.
