         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our group members - Farah Suhana, Nora, Aqilah, Fatim and Ana<br><br>We went through the assignment instruction and start throwing ideas on how to fulfill the assignment's requirements. The assignments have 3 requirements; 1) video clip 2) learning journal 3) reflective learning (individual)<br><br>The video clip should have&nbsp;<br>-introduction - chosen strategy - references<br>-group members -declamation<br><br>1) the chosen strategy is checking students learning - we will apply what we have learned in Technology in Education class ( especially Kahoot! because our students love this apps so much)<br>2) the video's introduction - we are planning to talk about the advantage of using technology in asses students understanding during class (paperless, time effective because no need to mark, fun, students enjoy the assessment, more intriguing students to learn)<br>3) We choose Microbiology course and find the suitable topic with its learning outcomes<br>4) We decided to check students learning using- kahoot, peer to peer, mastery learning &amp; pop quiz - simultaneous&nbsp;<br>We watch a video that may be help us in making the video clip Instructional Strategies that Support Learning- Checking for Understanding<br><br>What did we learned today?<br>- we just went through slide and gather information on instructional teaching strategy/technique and the most suitable for us is checking students learning<br><br>What will we do?<br>- we need to watch more video regarding this topic because no one of us have experience shooting video. Watch and learn&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

A few things need to affix such as lighting, students readiness, venue and etc.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Here are some strategies that we can apply in order to check students learning.<br><br></div><div>1.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Present students with common or predictable misconceptions about a concept you’re covering. Ask them whether they agree or disagree and to explain why.<br><br></div><div>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Check for understanding at least three times a lesson, minimum.<br><br></div><div>3.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Teachers should use enough different individual and whole group techniques to check understanding that they accurately know what all students know. More than likely, this means during a single class the same technique should not be repeated.<br><br></div><div>4.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Perhaps the most accurate way to check for understanding is to have one student try to&nbsp;<a href="http://www.opencolleges.edu.au/informed/features/peer-teaching/">teach another student what she’s learned</a>. If she can do that successfully, it’s clear she understood your lesson.<br><br></div><div>5.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Whether making a t-chart, drawing a concept map, or using some other means, have the students not simply list what they think they know, but what they don’t know as well. This won’t be as simple as it sounds–we’re usually not aware of what we don’t know. They’ll also often know more or less than they can identify themselves, which makes this strategy a bit crude. But that’s okay–the goal isn’t for them to be precise and complete in their self-evaluation the goal is for you to gain insight as to what they do and don’t know.
