So now I'm one of the member in event team!! I joined event team because I knew event team will need to do a lot of task and due to I'm more familiar with event work flow, I think I can help in this part and increase our efficiency.

Today, I have a lot of meetings.... First, all of us in Community Architecture had our first general meeting for the project. The commitee'd prepared some digital platforms such as padlet, ms team and google drive for all of us to updated our tasks and communicate with each other. Thank for their hardwork!

After that, Wanyi had been giving us the task to prepare the event proposal and ask to meet at 5pm. All of us need to prepare one for main event and one for small event. In this stage, we target to have four main event at the end. I had checked and look through the requirement and detail of this project yesterday. So, when waiting for the next meeting. I started brainstorming about the main event proposal.

Time flies, I had attended the event team meeting at 5pm. Wanyi and Wei Sheng(Congrats!! YOU have unlock a new character --- Asistant of event leader) brief us about the task of our team and current situation. After that, it's time to promote the event ideas. However, most of the member still wandering about it. Since i already did one main event proposal so i present my ideas. After my presentation, we had discussed a few more detail then we decided to have another meeting to look through everyone's ideas before we decided what kind of event we're going to organize. 

For tomorrow plan, I will brainstorming for the small event proposal. (For now I already have a draft ideas which is an event that can also fundraising for our programme.)

1. Qiao Ting (President of Community Architecture) had informed us each Furniture workshop Group Leader and comitee have to meet with Ms Echa (Community Architecture's Lecturer) tomorrow 2pm. It's time for me to handle the responsibility as the group leader!!! GO GO!!!

After the meeting, I rechecked again the meeting record and makesure all informations I received is correctly then I informed my group member about the tasks. To make progress, I asked my group to have a meeting. Although they're very busy but luckily all of them can attend at tomorrow 3pm. 

In the evening, I did a proposal for small event. (Still need to be improve)

At night, I voted for the Name of Community Architecture and the cloth for the T-Shirt. I'm looking forward to know which option will be choosen XD

In the morning, I had attended the Furniture Workshop class. Sir Amar(Lecturer of Furniture Workshop) had informed us the dimension requirement of the wood pieces that need to use for Modular structure during the class. This is a good new for us so we can start our modular cube design based on the correct size.  

After the class, I had a meeting with my group member to discuss about the community, ideation, approach and work distribution. So, I had be taking the task of doing case study with Wanjing(Design Team Leader and my group member) and Wei Sheng. We had also came out the community by voting and research. After discussion, all of us decided to have more time to think the design and function for the modular cube. So, we decided to have another meeting at Saturday.

In the next meeting, we have to decide the design and function because I will have a group leader meeting at Saturday to makesure all of the group don't crash the same design. 

In the evening, I had a meeting with event team to decide the main event and small event we want to organize. So, this time is Wanyi and my turn to do the meeting minutes. During the whole meeting, Wan Yi and me need to record the infomation that had be discussed in the meeting. Then, we came out with four main event such as Fundraising event, Exhibition event, Talk series and Competition. I had be distributed to be the leader of Exhibition event. So, i need to prepared a proposal to discuss it in the next monday class.

That's all for today.

I have made it through....my task finally stopped increasing. BUT, I still can't relax, there are many tasks waiting me to complete it before next monday class!

By the way, today Qiao ting and Xin Qi(secreatary of Community Architecture) had found me to help translate the official letter to Chinese due to the community for sponsor we're targeting just speak in Mandarin. Qiao Ting and I good in Chinese so we done it fast. I'm happy I could help them about it.

In the evening, I've done the roughly design ideas for the modular cube. Now, I just need to wait for the meeting in Saturday.

At night, I had came out with the design of T-shirt. I hope others will like it.

Wan Yi just now informed me she would add a new members for my exhibition event team. She's so kind :)

At 12.00pm, I have a Furniture workshop group meeting. We came out with a design ideas inspired from playscape. The image show above is the design draft for the modular cube. Due to the design ideas and draft have be confirmed, I asked model group start to make the prototype model.  

At 2.00pm, I have a meeting with each furniture workshop group leader and QiaoTing to makesure won't have any groups crash with the same ideas. Unluckily, my group crash with the ideas of group 6. So, I had discussed with Mei Wah(Group 6 Leader) after the meeting. We had solved this problem well and informed to Qiaoting the updated design ideas from both group. By the way, Group 6 so kind :)

At 3.00pm, I have a meeting with my exhibition event group members--- Munira and Winnie. I'm glad both of them are my members because they're active and funny. So, three of us had a joyful discussion and came out with a proposal. Hope it can be proceed after next monday presentation.

Before the class, event team had a meeting to discuss about the updated event proposal. So, I had contacted with Prayter(Talk series event leader) to schedule a meeting for both team to come out the final event proposal before week 3.

During the community architecture class session, Committees had present the fortnight report. As one of the event leader, i had also presented. After the class, we had a meeting for committees and group leader. Ms Echa had informed us newest infomation of the modular cube design weekly plan. I noted it and informed my group member after end of the meeting.

When I checked our group padlet, I saw Ms Fatehah's comments on the design ideation. She wants us to develop more and creative. (Maybe can design with folding system) So, I had scheduled a meeting with group member at tomorrow 2pm. The agenda will be discuss the new ideas and creative way to develop the modular cube & updated each team progress especially video group and presentation board group since wednesday need to present and submit in next week.

We're going to use some folding and sloting systems. Due to each of us need to do more research on that systems, I decided to let all of us have more time to do the design and everyone submit our ideas before tomorrow class. 

Beside that, I ask video group(John and Kah Gin) to make a rough 2min video for tomorrow tutorial. So, i let them can only submit specific part ideas for modular cube.

At 8.00pm, event meeting again to finalize every event's flow and can start complete the event proposal. After discussion, I had confirm the time flow of talk series event and how both event can interact together. So, i think i would done the event proposal as fast as possible so that we can start prepare the gather town early.

Hope tomorrow our ideas won't have too much problems. :x

PS: Above image is my design ideas for modular cube. The prototype still is playscape. Function is to plant vegetation and give kids have fun. So, to maximise the space i can use, i use folding system(case study do from Tenfold Engineering) to extend the spaces of cubes. While extended, the cube will form one table and four seat for kids to play chess game. Based on Ms's comments, our work is enough for next week submission but all of us would like to improve our design since it still have time. Thus, we scheduled to have a meeting at Friday for the new design ideas.

At 6.00pm, I had a meeting with my exhibition event group member. (Winnie, Munira, Yong Ye) We already came out the final event proposal so it's time to start to organize it. So, I brief them the final event flow and distributed work for them. For me, i will involve in all tasks to makesure all tasks are in the right way and guide them how to use gather town. Actually, we're in a hurry due to we also need to help Talk Series event to design their Game session space in gather town for episode 2. Hope we can make it. :)

For tomorrow plan:
1. Check the design progress of exhibition and game spaces
2. Start liase with other uni, neighbour and urban farming professor

The modular cube had added in some sloting and hinge system to extend a seat and to change the position of cube.

After that, I distributed the task for all of us to do a new design proposal and video for tomorrow presentation ans submission.

Today morning, I asked my sister to help me took a picture for the portrait that need to send to publication team. My house don't have any plants look really nice. Luckily, I found the fresh corn in kitchen. (My mom just bought it for tonight dinner.) Then, I used the corn and a hat to take the picture to make it more related to our theme and more fun. XD

Start from 14th until today, I had monitor and help my exhibition team member to work for the gather town design templates. Today, I presented our progress in the event team meeting. Luckily, we received all good comments and some suggestions to improve. Tomorrow, I will let the members who are in charge the design template to present their works. Winnie and Yong Ye, fighting!!!

Today, our furniture group have faced a trouble. After we presented, group 6 member criticized our group plagiarized their design. It really made me shocked. My group members have been wandering how their design look like. By the way, due to we really want to be friendly and kindly to all of our classmates. We tried to explain to them our design was came out from some reasons, intentions and researches on playscape case study. Maybe both group are having the same design ideas, that's why we had came out the similar design. 

However, it was sad to say that group 6 member still thought we plagiarized them. So, for what we can do is just let go. 

By the way, tomorrow is..................HOLIDAY!!!! HAHAHA, I want to sleep late XD. Goodnight~~

We had came out with a new site that related to ThinkCity, and add Aquaponic system in the design.

For exhibition event progress, my team members and me have struggle for the design template. Now, it done and we started to edit in gather town. Now, we just leave the collection for studio work and urban farming image & some knowledges. I have contacted with the Architecture society's president from UTAR & Taylor, hope they will join us.

For Game Room design, me and Yong Ye had discussed with Competition team and done it this week so that talk series team can use it for next monday talk series episode 1.

Today, I had gone to Kebun Komunity to explore and learn about urban farming. It is interesting!! And, I wanted to add the image we take from there in the exhibition. As I know my team members almost stay up late, so I had tried to call those members who can't wake up on time :")

By the way, during the tutorial everyone had joined just except WanYi because she have Furniture Design class. 

After the tutorial, we had discuss and came out the new joineries to use in the whole structure, there have four types of joinery, I'm not sure will it too complicate so I would like to discuss it with Ms Echa and Ms Fatehah in the next class. For now, we will start do the technical part first.

Today, i had submited the Poster and Video Presentation in CN, Padlet and Miro.  Here is our final poster and video.

During the community architecture class, we had show our presentation and recieved some comments to improve for wednesday submission.

I jotted down the comments from Ms Echa and Ms Fatehah. After class, I send it to my group to let everybody clear for the part we need to improve. Then, I distributed tasks for everyone. I meet with my group members and we carried the wood to make lab from Riana South.

After that, we have tutorial class for Forniture Workshop. We recieved some comments, I jotted down and send in group. After this class, I think we need to schedule our next meeting to discuss about it since next week is the submission week.

I spent half of the day in make lab, first time use these tools. Still not familiar yet so the progress is slow. Maybe all of us need to do it together this week.

Let me do a conclusion for this seven weeks journal.

For me, community architecture is a fun practice to train our management skills and learn how to communicate among our peers and clients to design a project that fits with the requirement by using the materials given. 

The only regretful thing in the whole journal is we almost do everythings online but not physical. Anyway,  I'm grateful for having this course and have gained a lot of experiences.

My role in this Community Architecture is a event team member. Due to event leader's trust on me, I had been distributed as one of main event leader to organise a exhibition event, called "Agritecture Exhibition. " During the progress, I had  been given tasks for all my team members based on their strength and capability. As I know most of them don't even organised this kind of event before so I had guided them to do their tasks step by step. I had created a whatsapp group to updated any informations and use ms team to meeting. We had enough communication so all of us almost clear with the goal in every stages and enjoy a good relationship with everyone in the team. Beside that, I also handle the external liasion officer role with  other university such as UTAR and TAYLOR to collect the studio works. It was more difficult then liase with my peers but it is my strength so I managed it. When we facing difference kind of people we need to use difference communication ways to liase with them. With peers, it is okay to use normal and more relax attitude to liase but if we're facing external community we need to be pollite and smart. It is essential to ask or answer question smart. If we don't have the smart responce capability, can try to practise the potential question client will ask in our mind and prepared the best answer. After that, then will be more confident to face the client! Bear in mind, it is not nessesary to answer all questions too detail and too honest, of course, I'm not asking you to lie client, just don't be too straight forward and can answer them 
ambiguous. To achieved my goal to let other universities join our event, I always liase them with the precise information and repectful words to let them feel comfort, more patience and clear with the messages I want to express to them. Although I still faced some problems while liase with UTAR, but just be braved and positive to solve the problem as fast as possible. At the end, the event had been organised sucessfully. 

Moreover, while doing the design for modular cube, I had liase with the client in Kebun Komuniti UCSJ 12. It is a fun experience, now, I know the important of the relationship between the client needs and design. The communication skill is also a key to come out a good and satisfied design. Next, as a group leader for modular cube design, I had always been awared on every informations for modular cube and updated it in our whatsapp group. To makesure our task can done on time, I had been done a design proposal doc.file for my group members to check their task distribution and each submission date for difference requirement. Everytime when we have meeting, I will makesure myself to become more active, positive and funny to provide a good atmosphere for my group members. For me, I always think that atmostphere is the vital that decided the team's mood and their attitude especially in online meeting. So, all of us always had a good mood during the meeting and the result of each meeting also with quality and efficiency. Furthermore, as a group leader it doesn't mean I can handle and control everything, in my own perspective, a leader should put ourselves in the same position with other group members but not like "Boss" to " underling".  Leader is just a team member rely by others to give everyone a remind or guide to move forward to the goal. Leader should not overtake the tasks or over distribute tasks to other. Everybody should be same to maintain the balance and harmony of each member' mental health include ourselves. I illustrated deeply about my opinion of the role for a leader not only to share what I learned from this job during this course but also want to express that if I just done my leader role perfect it still cannot come out with a excellent project but if I'm a good leader with a good team, we will achieved  our goal sucessfully. This is one of the main reason that my group, Group 1 had achieved the first place. (Hehe, felt proud with all of us (~v~)) 

In conclusion, from Community Architecture I learned a lot of experience on management and communication skills. Now, I feel more familiar with this kind of job. I can liase with peers, lecturers, and external community in a better way than previous life. 

PS: Bye Bye~ The most fun and relax course for me in this diploma T^T
