  • We tested for:

    pH: 7.6 (Normal)

    High Range pH: 7.8 (Normal)

    Ammonia: .25 (Too high)

    Nitrite: 0ppm (Normal)

    Nitrate: 0 ppm (Normal)

  • Added 3 cups of Ammo Lock again because the ammonia levles havent gone down enough.

  • Normal levels for each is pH: 6.5 to 7.5 for most torpical fish, High range pH: 7.0 to 8.5, Ammonia: 0 ppm, Nitrite: 0 ppm, Nitrate: 0 ppm.

  • we removed the old substrate from the tank

  • Cleaned the tank out

  • put in our under-gravel filter

  • added in the new water and sand

  • Picked out our decor pieces which were a Budha statue and a cute fluffy plant mostly because we liked the look of them

  • We put the Budha statue in the middle of the tank and adding the plant right next to them

  • and turned on the filter to ensure everything was working fine

The ammonia levels were at .5 so we did a half water change and rearranged the decor to make a portion of the tank more open we took out certain plants that were close to dying and we gave the dead fish a funeral and did 30 ml of ammo lock on the water left in the tank plus the 1 mL of water conditioner and 5 mL of ammo lock in the buckets.
