On April 27, 2019 a 19-year-old man took fire on a San Diego synagogue, killing one person and injuring others. San Diego officials responded quickly, stating that they would not tolerate this kind of hate towards the Jewish community and immediately called for action. The shooter had possession of an AR-15 and this act was classified as a hate crime.

Three incidences in the past year has brought anti - semitism to our country.  Anti - semitism in the modern world has been getting more violent. First someone vandalized a synagog with racist remarks. Then multiple people were stabbed followed by the breaking in of a synagog.
