I will research three evidence-based teaching methods (e.g., Montessori, Reggio Emilia, play-based learning) and create two activities suitable for toddlers that target cognitive and motor skill development. I will share a written summary of my research (at least 2 pages) and present the two toddler activities with clear instructions and materials list,
using class time, online resources, observation, and feedback from my teacher, which will help me understand how young children learn and practice designing developmentally appropriate activities, by the due date of 12/19/2025.

I will research learning requirements for kindergartners in California and use what I learn in class about young kids to figure out what I will need in a classroom to be an effective teacher. I will budget my own imaginary kindergarten classroom and create my own floor plan. I’ll track my progress by keeping track of what I have for my imaginary classroom then compare it to real life classrooms. I’ll know I reached my goal when my classroom looks like a real one. Then, when I’m done, I will submit some drawings of my plan along with the expenses. I already have an understanding of children and what they need in a classroom, so my goal is very achievable and with a little bit of research, I got this! I am so motivated because I’m just interested in my project, and I think it will be fun. This goal will help me when I’m a teacher one day. I will use feedback from my mom and teacher and internet research and turn this in by the due date, 12/19/25.
