It was a couple days before Halloween and my dad was scrolling through Facebook on the computer, and he was watching the Halloween special from Paul Lynde's show from 1976. I asked my dad if I could watch. He said I could, so then I brought up a chair next to the computer and watched the Halloween special with him. About halfway through the show, there was a performance by KISS. It was the song, "Detroit Rock City," which was the first song by KISS that I listened to. I really liked the song at the time and continued to watch the episode. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I had to do it to score points in the game. I first spoke to Mary Delanoy who allowed me to practice with her team. It was a lot of running and after the end of the season, she told my dad to sign me up for the Playmakers training sessions for basketball in hopewell. At the start, there was so much pressure from the other players since I was the only one there that was my age. I had to step up. It took so much more running and shooting and practice to get somewhere, but that's a good thing. i had to step up to be at the same level as the others around me. I soon began to make baskets with accuracy. I was also able to learn to dribble the ball through my legs and behind the back. One day, my dad took me to a culinary class on decorating cupcakes. I was nervous since I didn't have any talent when it comes to the arts. After we saw the demonstrations and examples, we were going to start. Once I started to decorate the first cupcake, it turned out to be a beautiful rose. I got a lot of compliments on my cupcakes which made me feel great. I realized what I wanted to do when I finished all of them and placed them into a pot to make them look like a bouquet of flowers.
