The digital world involves interactions among others, as well as content that has been created and shared. The ability to comprehend and interact with content is essential for digital literacy in order to navigate the online world and the content that is shared.

In a sense, the idea of literacy as a socio-cultural practice has taken new dimensions as the internet has multiplied our opportunities to engage in dialogue and knowledge construction with different communities around the world (Ochs, 2022). One must be equipped with the skills and strategies needed to discern information, interact with content and differentiate between information, sources, and content that is shared throughout the digital world.
