Corrina relies on public transport to get out and about so this would suit someone who also appreciates using buses and trains or would benefit from this experience if the child wishes to travel further afield. 

Anu is calm, caring, and a really good listener. Her English is very good, and she also speaks other languages. Anu would love to spend time with a child in care — whether it’s chatting, playing, or going out for a fun walk or activity. She can even teach some yoga!

Anu usually travels by public transport (which she doesn’t think should ever be a problem!), and she’s also slowly learning how to drive.

She also volunteered in schools for children with severe additional needs, proving that no matter what their challenge in life every child can achieve.

More recently Andrea has volunteered with adults experiencing poor mental health but has realised her true passion is spending time with, and helping children. One of her favourite things is to “sit in goal” for her friends 2 little boys while they take penalties against her! She recently raced down the zip line at The Eden Project to raise funds for charity, but is also just as happy paper crafting.

Andrea is a wheelchair user, is fully independent and has a full driving licence.
