As a teacher and a constant lifelong learner I have found this course intriguing and necessary for both my personal, but also professional development. The LifeComp skills are something we are all building our whole life, and in order to help my students develop them more properly, and to teach them about self regulation I found this course would give me few more theoretical, but also practical tips.
Also, it is always welcoming to share opinions and ideas with colleagues around EU and worldwide in order to grow and acquire all the necessary skills, or try to keep these life skills by staying focused, flexible. I think I need to work more on my own wellbeing, which is also one of the reasons I enroled the course.

I've already read all the EU website regarding "teaching-life-competences" and appendixes. I've been searching and reviewing old scientific issues (from around 1990) that seem, to me, totally updated. I think I'm going to post some of them. The conclusion: for many centuries now, the need to change many things in the world has always been assumed. I can quote Socrates (the GreeK, not the portuguese clown) - “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” - or Gandhi - “In a gentle way, you can shake the world.” - and many, many others. More recently we began to talk about that need in the educational field. many changes have been tried in Portugal. Did they succed? Not as much as it is required, in my opinion. I am aware that something must be done. But what? How? Where is the crux of the matter? Maybe in Tolstoy quote: “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”

As a teacher, I realise that being a self-regulated learner is not something that automatically happened. Sometimes I have a tendency to feel enough with what I had learnt in the past and pause my journey to learn something new (my bad). Especially, if I was in "auto-pilot" mode, teaching activity has become a mundane routine where I happened to lose my passion.

By taking this, I expect myself to be more responsible and conscious with what I wanted to learn. In addition, I can directly practice to be committed as self-regulated learner.
