The purpose of this report is to discuss about the advantages and disadvantages of building a new airport near Newtown. The report will take into account the opinions of local people, who talked about this topic in our local meeting, and provide a personal opinion on the matter. 46% disagreed ..... 

 Advantages
There are several advantages of building a new airport. Firstly, building a new airport will be extremely helpful for transport links between other cities and encourage people to visit other cities.  

People can travel without being stressful, conveniently, and ... can saving more time. This is not just only saving time, but it is also saving more money because  with this convenient travel link, people will be able to visit the city and see their families more than ever before.

Another advantage is that it will help businesses, as more people ....visit the city and buy products in the shops. Also, it might bring  more opportunities  to the local people to sell their products, which will prevent the local economy from shrinking. In addition, the local people can start bringing more and more products and sell them much easier. Finally, thousands  of new jobs can attract people to come to Newtown because only inside the airport there will be more than 600 jobs and there will be more jobs in the city centre.

 
Disadvantages 

However, there will be some disadvantages:

 

One issue which people are concerned about is pollution. Undoubtedly, building a new airport will bring more pollution to Newtown, especially for disabled people and children. This could create some difficulties for some people who might leave the city or who might stop coming to the city.

Another disadvantage is that traffic congestion could get worse. This problem is going to be very annoying for every aspect of life. For example, while getting to work or in an emergency situation people will be delayed, missing meetings, interviews, or hospital appointments. Moreover, they may be delayed in getting to airport.

Conclusion 

 

Having considered both the positive and negative aspects of building a new airport, I believe that this will bring  more benefits than disadvantages. 
This is because it will bring more business opportunities and jobs to the city. 
 

 

 

The purpose of this report is to discuses the advantages and disadvantages of the plans to build a new airport near Newtown.   This report takes their opinion into account and provides my own opinion in the end. 

There are several advantages of build the  new airport near Newtown. Frist..., the airport will bring better transport links between different cities. Which is more people come to the Town to visit and to do some shopping . Second..., It is help business to  be able to sell their products, at the some time to advert their products. This will help the business to grownup. Finally, It could bring may jobs opportunity for people who ....looking for jobs and reduced unemployment, which is help the local economy by decrease the number of people on benefits.  

In other side, there are several disadvantages of build a new airport  such us,
Traffic jam, which is many people could be struggle to get transports and getting work or school on time. while they have to allow more traveling  time  more than us usual.  The road will not be safer for the pedestrian.  Other disadvantages is that  Air pollution might be increase , which is not friendly to the environment.  People who lives with different health issue, For instance, People with asthma, allergies, draggle back to  come to New Town, which is that affect the local businesses. 

 Conclusion 
Having considered both the benefits and drawbacks of building a new airport , I believe that the dis advantages far outweigh the drawbacks . This is because a new airport  in Newtown affect the environment  and the noise my disturb the people, who lives near to the airport specially, at the night.   Although the city will be over crowded and the road may not be safer   for elderly and children.  

 

This report will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of closing Burnham community and making way for a new carpark  in the town centre. The report will take into account the opinion of local people, who talked about this topic  in our local meeting.

 

 

Firstly, building a new car park in the town centre is a great idea and it has a variety of benefits. For example, people need a huge car park so it will reduce parking problems. Furthermore, they can park their cars easily and safely because there will be 460 parking spaces .Another advantage is that businesses and shops which get get more benefits and boost their sale. When customers come to town centre with a good car park, they will come back again. Lastly, the new car park will reduce accidents, make the town centre amazing and reduce noise pollution. 

Although building the new car park is a great news,  it would badly affect some people. The community theatre has been an important part of Burnham for 15 years. People have been doing  a variety of activities ,such as yoga, dance  and aerobic classes every day. And also Christmas pantomime, which sells out every year so,  they spend a fabulous time together and get good experience with each other.  Another disadvantage is that Burnham’s theatre goers must travel for up to 50 miles in order to see a play, which is completely disheartening , and some of them will have to take buses or go by their car and spend more money.

Having considered both the positive and negative aspects of Burnham community theatre, I believe that, building the new car park will boost local economy and help the majority of people with their businesses. Therefore, I think we should support the proposal. 

 

The Burnham Council announced today that the Burnham Community Theatre will be closed and replaced by a car park with a capacity of 460 parking spaces. In the past 15 years, the theatre has been providing drama classes for children on Saturdays. In addition, it has been staging new plays every two weeks, and Christmas Pantomime every year. The purpose of this report is to discuss how the plan to close the theatre would affect Burnham.
 

Some advantages of closing the theatre and replacing it with the car park are the following. Firstly, the new car park can reduced the shortages of parking spaces in the town centre. This will provide secure parking spaces within walking distances for shoppers in the town centre. Secondly, due to accessibility of the town centre, various businesses can make profits from more customers travelling to the town centre for shopping. Thirdly, the town council will get more income from the new car park which can help it to make investment to improve the town’s infrastructures.

There are several disadvantages of converting the theatre into car park, such as  Town dwellers will have to travel 50 miles to have access to theatre and the services provided in it. This will be costly and not environmentally friendly as driving by many people will cause air pollution from emissions by car. Similarly, the new car park in the town centre will generate more emissions which will pollute the town and will be a health risk to the population. As it is not economical to make weekly 100 miles round trips, the mental health of the population of Burnham may be affected negatively due to shortage of access to entertainments. 

Considering the pros and cons of the new development plan by Burnham town council, I believe disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The population health and environmental impact of the planned development is tremendous. The city council needs to carry out proper environmental and social impact assessment before it proceeds with the current plan. The town residents need to be consulted and have their say about the plan. This plan should not be implemented solely from economic impact perspectives.
