This sentence is super important. I say this because this is towards the end where Bod takes a huge step in his life. This huge step is when Bod leaves the graveyard to set out for life in the real world. This sentence has huge importance . Bod is taking his first steps out of the graveyardthat  he had lived in his whole life. 
Withought this sentence we wouldn’t know how Bod was feeling about leaving his one and only home. Now we know he is worried .
