As the eldest daughter failed to keep the promise of not entering the forbidden room(hell), the devil pushed her  into a fatal abyss. The same things happened to the second daughter, but the third one was bright enough to save her sisters and used the devil to carry them home in chests. Thereafter,  the devil carried his wife in the chestto her parents too without knowing that it was his wife.
