I have read how Enrique becomes wiser on his eighth attempt to get to his mother. He learned to avoid buses, never ride freight trains alone, and not to trust authorities allowing him to be at an advantage. Also as he is on this journey he notices other kids like him trying to hide and some even being younger which is very dangerous when there are people who commit crimes to immigrants.

I believe chapter 3 is called "Seeking Mercy?", because it shows how there are many people at risks where some get caught and even killed. Children and pregnant women even trying to cross, as he makes it through to find his mother.

I believe that reading Enrique's Journey would change the minds of those who support the border wall, because it shows the struggles and how much immigrants go through just to live a better life. Many even dying just to make it across the border.

Enrique's Journey had me on the edge of my seat filled with anxiety. The whole time I was questioning "Will he make to his mom?" . He finally made it but was met with disapointment because his mother was horrible. I felt really terrible when he reverted to drugs and alchohol.

My thoughts on Enrique's Journey were this should be a really interesting story because of the emotional appeal and action a journey like this could bestow on one's life. The journey of a young man to reunite with his mother in America. Enrique's background, the tales of his journey, him reunited with his mother, the hardships he faced is what made this such a good book.
