This was a pretty short read and I enjoyed it a lot. I had to search up quite a few words in the book because it is set in England and I was unfamiliar with some of the terms. The plot was a bit confusing but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a short book.

Even though this book wasn't the most complex in vocabulary or the plot, it was my favorite of this semester. This book gave me insight to another point of view in a community I may not have been exposed to otherwise. This book really opened my mind to the struggles that people face simply because of the color of their skin. I believe that everyone should read this powerful story as situations similar to the one in this book happen all of the time. It's very important that people are educated on the topics this book touches on.

I read this book because I enjoyed another book by the same author. I really enjoyed the story but it took me a bit to adjust to the style of writing. The author would write songs into the book and i think it would be more helpful if I had an idea of what the songs sound like. However there weren't too many songs so it didn't take away from the book as a whole.

This book was challenging for be because of the way in which it was written and also the vocabulary. It had a complex plot that took place over ten years and switches perspectives between characters. This book was set in the future however I was able to make many connections to things happening in the world now. This is a very powerful book that I recommend to everyone.

Although I'm not finished reading this book, I am really enjoying it. At one point I was getting a bit bored however I'm glad I kept reading because it keeps on getting better. This book is the seventh in the Throne of Glass series that challenges me in terms of vocabulary and a complex plot. I recommend it to people who love fantasy and have are open to reading long books because the last few in the series are quite long,

Regardless, I definitely appreciate this book and how it has impacted others people's lives.

At the start of the semester my goal was to have read four books by June. Including our class novel, I tripled the amount I thought i could read and have read 12 books this semester. I was very motivated to read every night and during class which helped me reach my initial goal in only a month and a half. Half way through the semester I changed my goal to eight books however I passed that goal too.

Each week this semester I read somewhere in between 80-360 pages. When I read books I really enjoy, I finish them a lot faster resulting in more pages read per week. I read the most in March, probably due to the free time I had from March break. I didn't have as much time to read in May due to work and schoolwork so I read the least pages that month. In total I read 3469 pages this semester, which means on average I read 231 pages per week.

This semester I have grown a lot as a writer, reader and thinker. I have read books that have helped me see the world differently and really challenged me. These books have helped me expand my vocabulary and displayed various ways I can structure sentences in my writing. I have grown as a reader in the sense that I have read more this semester than I have in many years. Additionally the books I've read in the past few months have exposed me to many different genres that I have come to enjoy a lot. I never thought I would be able to read 12 books this semester. Throughout the semester I have also grown as a listener and I am a more confident speaker.

I am eager to continue reading in my future. Reading has become a part of my daily routine over the past months I will continue reading almost every day this summer. The next book I plan on reading is Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas, one of my favorite authors. This book is part of a series that has challenged me a lot. I will continue challenging myself by reading books out of my comfort zone and ones that are a bit more difficult than what I'm used to,
