The tool also allows me to check for students' understanding.
Lesson Idea: Using Flipped Classroom approach, students can watch teacher model reading strategies - Skim, Scan, Integrate strategy. Students can see how to skim for main ideas, scan for supporting details and integrate to see how these ideas and details synthesize into the Key Message, then practise the process in class by identifying these elements in texts during lesson time, then reverse-engineer process to write their own texts.

Tool: Loom
What I like about the tool: The addition of a video recording of myself into the presentation deck. I feel that it makes the presentation deck more interactive and engaging. I also like the annotating tool that could still be used while I am being recorded.
Lesson idea: I would use it for lessons that require more Think Aloud approaches through teacher modelling. I think that the students would be able to follow through better as they could "see" me while going through the annotations together. It could be as simple as going through a comprehension passage where we highlight certain language features and extract gists. There may be some parts of the passage that are better explained visually and I could then demonstrate while being recorded.
