Evidence: “I cant walk I cant talk.I cant feed myself or take myself to the bathroom.Big bummer" (pg.3).

Claim and Reasoning: This is CC because you don't expect an innocent little girl who's done nothing wrong to not be able to do every day base things that we can do.

Answer to Anchor Question: It appears that Melody has a disability and she is in a wheel chair and cant do nothing that we can do. She is in a disability class trying to learn stuff, she is like a Guinness in her head but she cant say what she is thinking.

Literary Element: This might help me to understand one meaning of the book. I think the meaning/theme is " you can do anything as long as you believe in your self " and it helps me under stand because on one of the pages she learns how to spell out words from her paper on her wheel chair so she can communicate with others.

Evidence: “ Catherine asks me. As Miss Gordon walks around the class talking to students about there Projects, I think for only one minute .STEPHEN HAWKINS.

Claim and Reasoning: i chose Stephen hawking because it keeps showing up in my book and i think it might mean something useful later on in the book
Answer to Anchor Question: i think this name is going to be showing up a lot and i wounder why this might mean something to her .

Literary Element: This might help me to understand something that might happen in the future maybe something that means a lot to melody

Evidence: “i guess i figured out i was different a little at a time. Since i never had trouble thinking or remembering it actually sort of surprised me that i couldn't do stuff. And it made me angry. page 9

Claim and Reasoning: This is am because, she figures out that she had a disability and she wasn't like the other kids and other kids don't look like her.

Answer to Anchor Question: It appears, she finely realized that she has something that no one else has.And it makes her mad because, she knows everything the others do, but, she cant say it.

Literary Element: This might help me to understand that, melody can be really smart but, she has to keep all of her thoughts in her head not because she wants to, but because she has to.

Evidence: “i can remember way back to when i was really young.of course its hard to separate real memory's from videos of me that dad took on-his cam recorder, iv watched millions of times mom bringing me home from the hospital, her face showing smiles but her eyes squinted with worry, melody tucked into a tiny baby bath tub. I never really cried much as a baby page 4-5

Claim and Reasoning: This is mm because, what if it shows how melody was meant to be different, she always was different from the others.

Answer to Anchor Question: it is in portent because it is just showing you the ways that melody is different she dint cry as a baby, she cant walk, cant talk, cant do anything.

Literary Element: The ways how all people are different, and and i think later in the book, she will find someone with the same disability she has, and shell understand that some people are having the same issues shes having.

Evidence: “how could i explain to her without Catherine or my mom or Mrs. V that i wasn't able to eat? I had to be feed like a baby''. page 196.

Claim and Reasoning: this is tq because,This makes me wonder about how will melody tell them? What if she really was hungry? .

Answer to Anchor Question: melody cant do anything,so if she cant talk she cant tell them that she is not able to eat her food. that they half to feed her.

Literary Element: This might help me to understand that the kids in the book should be thankful for what they have, even the small things like talking. All these people make fun of her because she cant do the basic things we can she cant even warn someone that she cant feed herself.

Evidence: “i look up angry at her face, no normal,Normal sucks ! she roared people love you because your melody not because of what you can and cant do''.page 281

Claim and Reasoning: this is WW because, Mrs. V is telling melody that she doesn't have to be able to do stuff for people to like her, that she is perfect just the way she is.

Answer to Anchor Question: it teaches her to be herself and don't let anything or anyone change that ever.

Literary Element: This might help me to understand that being yourself is grate, and that melody should be happy the way she is, and that there are lots of people who love her just the way she is.
