On this course I have learned a lot about personal, national and global identity, Internationalisation, global citizen and cultures. We have made a school policy and have had a lot of good talks about, how we kan make Feldballe Friskole international. I have become aware of the importance to move the classroom outdoor and how important it is, that you teach in topics you really like. I also became aware of, that to do a international project in school can be simple and doesn't have to be big and fancy. I have learned how important it is to work with PBL, as we do in our school specially when you work with Internationalisation. Further more I have learned so much about Guadeloupe- about it's history, nature, Flora, Fauna, culture, how the global changes effect the island and nature, school system, music traditions and food. And I have learned a little french 🙃
And then it was interesting to hear about how teacher do in Portugal and Estonia and learn from their experiences. Thank you for really good course.

The course, in its entirety, has placed a significant strategic focus on the vertical tasks within the school's organization concerning the creation of motivated development among all staff - and especially the students. With the many theoretical presentations and discussions about cultures, nationality, project-based learning, and particularly "The Big Why," as a vice principal, I have gained a strong focus on involving the entire staff in conversations and development groups to find their own dreams and create their own "Why." A personal journey awaits our employees, and it is through these realizations and motivated ideas that we will develop our international dimension.

In my reflections on the content - cultural learning, competence development, and teaching content - I see a strong connection to our school's profile, which is based on PBL, project-based learning. We can unfold our strategy for the school as a whole by incorporating the international element through PBL projects and collaborating with European schools on exchanges and job shadowing.

Overall, I have become competent in envisioning our future as an international school and have acquired knowledge and a level of competence that can be translated into practice at the school. This greatly strengthens our process when we return to our practical and everyday tasks.

A final commendation goes to Rita, who, as an individual, manages the course with great expertise, vast experience, and a professionalism that is evident in all elements of the course. Rita's teaching is characterized by sharing experiences and, at the same time, a desire to learn and engage in debates, resulting in high motivation. Thank you, Rita.

Thomas

I have learned and gained concrete tools to move forward with the school's international profile. how we tie the national together with the international and how we use our PBL tools in the international work. I have gained experience both at staff, student and management level. I got a lot of concrete tools and ideas. I have also learned how important it is that the teachers take our students out to experience, feel and learn about what they are being taught and how important it is that the classroom has open doors. I have learned how culture and identity form the basis of international identity and how we move forward at our school with this focus. Concepts such as motivation, learning for life, kritisk thinkning, behaving internationally and understanding actions behind become important words after this course. At the same time, I have gotten to know a lot of wonderful people, with whom I am sure we will also collaborate in the future. I have learning that the Big WRY is the best Way to start at proces on our School and the best Way to start Any projekt. All that have I ben learning and at the same time I have had a wonderfull time wiht my collegies and had a lives time experince in this fantastisk country.

Final reflection from Kristina

I’ve learned a lot in this course at Guadeloupe. And I can use the knowledge both in my future personal and professional life.

I became aware of the importance of how you identify culture and talk about it. You need to consider both similarities and differences and you always have to try to understand the reasons why people act as they do and not to judge from your own perspective. You also need to identify your own culture when you would like to get to know other cultures. It is very important for this course that it is located in a different culture from your own. Then you experience and feel the theory and practice that you are discussing in the sessions. That has a great value.

When you are working with internationalisationing your schools curriculum it is very important to consider both the local and the global view.

What you learn and experience when being “on location” in the different topics are valuable and important and we need to have that in mind when teaching.

We have been discussing theory and didactic in relation to guide our student to being global citizens and I can use it directly in my practice at my school.

I consider it a great value that we were participants from different European countries and we have already made contacts to visit and to do exchange.

I’ve learned that when you practice project based learning you always need to have a personal interest in the topic and the theme and you need to dare to invite your students into the planning - also when it is about being global citizens. You have to work with key competences.

The surroundings in Rita’s classroom has been outstanding and beautiful and been leading to many relevant discussions and reflections to our school practice and strategies.

I have learned a lot about how Erasmus+ function and the experiences of the other participants gave me an insight in does and dont’s.

Thank you Rita for being a very trustful course leader with a lot of relevant experience!

Smiles from Kristina
