A very well known historical figure in spain is Queen Isabella. Isabella financed christopher columbus’s voyages to america (The man who “found” or encountered america) She also played a key role in reorganising the government and brought the crime rates down in spain to record lows! A historical event in spain was the Spanish War. Revolts had been occurring for some years in cuba against spain. The U.S backed these revolts which lead to the Spanish-American War. America used yellow journalism to call for war. The U.S had just recovered from a deep depression and was afraid that the war would reverse the changes.
